1936 Indian Diamond Jubilee Celebration Medal.
Aluminum. 31mm. Signed BIRKS. These small medals were struck in conjunction of the 1936 Diamond Jubilee Celebration, which was held to commemorate the signing of Treaty 6 in 1876. A reenactment of the signing ceremony took place at Carlton, Saskatchewan on August 11, 1936 and was attended by Lady and Baron Tweedsmuir, the Governor General of Canada.
