Bronze. 38.2mm. 29.91g. Signed by C. Lamond et Fils (Montreal) on edge. The first Congress was held in 1912 and the second occurred 25 years later in Quebec City from June 27 to July 1, 1937. It was organized by Le Société du Parler Francais au Canada. The medal reflects the goals of the conference: “CONSERVONS NOTRE HERITAGE FRANCAIS.” The obverse features a fabulous Art Deco design with one figure representing France and the other representing French Canada. The work was accomplished by M. Marius Plamondon. One example was struck in gold and given to the National Library and Archives in Paris.
